Important Information

Now accepting toddler through eighth grade new applications for 2011-12. Call for a tour of the school to see how your child would benefit from a Montessori education.

Reenrollment deadline is March 1, 2012. Please send in forms on time to ensure a place for your child. Classes will be full for school year 2012-13.

The Academy follows the Chambersburg Area School District school closings and late openings schedule in the event of inclement weather. Please listen to your radio when conditions warrant: WCHA 800 AM, WIKZ 95.1 FM, and your local TV station, Channel 8, or www.wgal.com. You can also phone the Chambersburg Area School District hotline 261-8000, or check their web site www.chambersburg.k12.pa.us.

Schools will be closed Monday, February 20. School will resume on Tuesday, February 21st.

Financial Aid

Financial Aid is offered by Montessori Academy and scholarships sponsored by local businesses are available. Awards are made on a competitive basis to students according to financial need as indicated by School and Student Service for Financial Aid guidelines.

Financial Aid is available to all students and is determined through an application process which is submitted to an independent corporation who determines need and amounts to be funded.

Financial Aid packets are sent out by request in December for the following school year. All financial aid applications must be received by the School and Student Service (SSS) and Montessori Academy by the middle of January to be processed for the next school year. Financial aid awards may be given to late applicants based on availability of funds.

Financial Aid for Montessori Academy is funded by Corporate/Business Sponsors through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. Businesses receive tax breaks for their contributions up to $200,000 per year.
